Dear Diary,
Bah Humbug! Humbug to Christmas humbug to charity humbug to all things poor enough to get my money and well earned wages and not in exchange receive the work and toil of the workhouse! They expect to get my well earned wages and food just to sustain their lives for one stinking day, and that ungrateful clerk Bob Chratchet he expects two!!! lumps of coal and a day off A DAY OFF! Back in my day if you couldn’t pay up it was jail and death for you. So when two lokle men came in asking for my wages I stated my reply ”let them die and decrease the current population” of course I regret it now, less peasants mean less tax for me to collect! haha. I hate Christmas for one reason and one reason only, everyone is merry but they give without reason and expect others to do their work and follow them in what I call madness.

Dear Diary,
Later in the eve my clerk asked for the day off on Christmas. He begged and I gave it to him, the ungrateful little soul he is wanting to take time off, taking 15 shillings a day for very little work. Even later a little bit after dark two finely dressed men came into my counting house asking for a donation to help feed families and provide them warmth on Christmas. I told them off with a “Bah Humbug” as well. This Christmas Eve I am liking myself more and more as the day putters along and I gain ever precious wealth. Christmas will be coming in a few days bah humbug!

Dear Diary,
Why this morning my nephew came forth and uttered “come uncle follow me in merriment and enjoy a spot of Christmas dinner with the famille”of course I replied “let me have Christmas in my way and let you have it in yours.”I was walking home one fogy Christmas Eve and my partner, the late Jacob Marley, appeared in the place of my door nob, it startled me and I fled in through the door way.Later that night as the bell yonder struck twelve I heard a series of deep hollow footsteps as if someone was striking a drum. Then I saw like a beast rising from the deep Marley’s tall strong profile confronted me as a lion confronts its prey before pouncing. He stood in the doorway as he stated that during the night three spectres shall come and make me repent my ways. I did not reply as I was in a state of shock. I expect I will get a bigger one later though.

The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
In Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s writing “The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner”, he writes in parts. There are 7 parts and each part contains a different narrative of things that Samuel writes about. The poem “The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner” is about three young men who were walking to attend a wedding, when they were stopped by an old sailor. The sailor makes the men sit on a stone and he begins talking about a strange tale. “The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner is compared to Iron Maiden’s song written about the poem. The song Iron Maiden wrote talked about the exact same thing the poem says. He used actual line of the poem and added the song to his album “Powerslave” which was released in 1984.
The poem goes on with the Mariner talking more about his time a sailor. He said that he sailed on a ship out of his native harbor, “below the kirk, below the hill/below the lighthouse top, and into a sunny cheerful sea.” in the song written by Iron Maiden, they sing the part where coleridge wrote in th poem of the mariner setting to sail. The mariner then remembers that the voyage quickly darkened, as a giant storm came up on the sea and chased his boat southward. The ship came up to a land, “of mist and snow”, where ice, mast-high, came floating by;” A pained look crosses the Mariner’s face, and the Wedding-Guest asks him, “Why look’st thou so?” The Mariner confesses that he shot and killed the Albatross with his crossbow. Albatross was a great sea bird that the sailor encountered. The other sailors at first were upset that the sailor had killed the bird that made the breezes blow, but when the fog lifted the sailors realized that the bird didn’t bring the breezes but the fog. Later on in the poem one of the wedding guest says he is afraid of the mariner with his glittering eye and skinny hand due to the fact that the mariner talked about how the other sailors had died and he was the only one that survived. The Mariner was surrounded by the slimy sea and the slimy creatures that crawled across its surface. He tried to pray but was deterred by a “wicked whisper” that made his heart “as dry as dust.” He closed his eyes, unable to bear the sight of the dead men, each of who glared at him with the malice of their final curse. For seven days and seven nights the Mariner endured the sight, and yet he was unable to die.
At the end the moon rose, casting the great shadow of the ship across the waters; where the ship’s shadow touched the waters, they burned red. The great water snakes moved through the moonlight, glittering; blue, green, and black, the snakes twisted and swam and became beautiful in the Mariner’s eyes. He blessed the beautiful creatures in his heart; at that moment, he found himself able to pray, and the corpse of the Albatross fell from his neck, sinking “like lead into the sea.” The whole poem was written in Iron Maidens song so that he could express more and make the reader feel more about what the mariner was talking about in his strange tale to the wedding guests.

Gordale Scar Painting
This piece of art was created by James Ward in 1812-14. These limestone cliffs were very popular in the nineteenth century for sightseers in search of sublime. The cliffs are beautiful as seen in the painting. One visiter named Wiiliam Wordsworth wrote a sonnet on what he saw when he visited the cliffs. He wrote the sonnet describing the view he saw so that when the viewer saw it he/she would be overwhelmed. The painting measures at twelve by fourteen feet, so when the viewer sees the painting they can emphasize the height of the cliffs and really connect with the painting when looking at the cattle, the dark clouds, and the deer huddled on the ground below the cliffs. This painting is a beautiful piece of art that was created to really express the view that William Wordsworth saw when he visited where the cliffs are located at.
I have tons of interests, one of my main ones would be playing soccer. I enjoy a lot playing soccer, I’ve been playing ever since I could walk honestly. My mom would sign me up every year to play recreation soccer and when I got old enough she started signing me up to play travel soccer. Ever since, I have always played travel soccer. One of my favorite teams to play on was the Lake Norman Travel team. We played in so many different places including Florida beach. Another interest that I have would be helping others. I went on a mission trip to Mexico this summer and we went to a really poor town. It honestly broke my heart seeing all the little kids on the streets without shoes and some asking for money to help out their families. They took us to a children’s home, where they kept all the kids who were abandoned on the streets. I had the privilege to meet a little girl named Sofia. She was the sweetest little girl and she was the funniest little thing ever. We had a day where we went out and helped people who needed food and water and we bought clothes and shoes for the kids who were in that home. I could name other interest that I have but we wouldn’t have enough space on this page.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
